What is an RTM?

RTM stands for Ready to Move. These homes are built on our site and moved to your foundation when completed. An RTM is built to the same standards or higher than that of a site built home and once on the foundation is just like any other house.

Is the move included?

No the move is not included. You can choose any building moving company you like and we would be happy to give you the names of the companies that our past customers have recommended. Once you have quotes from the movers of your choice we coordinate the move with them.

How much does the move cost?

It depends on the distance and the size of the house.  We recommend getting quotes from a few moving companies.

Can your plans be changed or customized?

Yes! Our plans are completely customizable and if we don’t have any plans you like we can start from scratch to make sure you get the exact house you want.

Can we provide our own blueprints?

Yes. Blueprints are included in the cost of your home but if you have had blueprints already made we can build off of them as long as they don’t belong to another builder and they are drawn to Saskatchewan Building Code.

Do we get to choose our finishing, flooring, lighting, cabinets etc.?

Yes, you get to choose everything from paint, flooring, cabinets, counter tops, ceilings, roofing, siding, etc. Click here for a list of our specifications.

How long does it take to build my house?

On average it takes 3 and a half months, depending on the size of your RTM as well as truss availability.

Do you do on site builds?

We can do site builds in Saskatoon or very near but we don’t travel out of town to build.

What is your warranty?

One-Year Workmanship and Materials Protection. Avid warrants the home is free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year following the date of possession. Drywall cracks are a common problem occurring with RTM homes, as such they are repaired once the house has settled on your lot. Avid Enterprises Inc. is a member of the Saskatchewan New Home Warranty Program.  Additionally, some of the products we use are covered under manufacturer’s warranty.

What can I use as a foundation?

You can have your RTM sit on a basement, crawlspace or screw piles.

What type of ceilings do you offer?

We do flat drywall, flat texture, pine, cedar or beams.
